Participation in the auction implies acceptance of the General Terms and Conditions of Sale, which can be consulted at the Kruso Art headquarters, or are available on the website (www.krusoart.com), or in the auction catalogs.
Pre-sale exhibitions and condition reports
Each auction is preceded by an exhibition open to the public. The opening hours are communicated in the auction information material: catalog, website, and newsletter, as well as by calling the office (Tel. +39 02 872 15 920).
The purpose of the exhibition is to allow the evaluation of works of interest, as well as their actual state of conservation. In addition, a Condition Report can be requested for works of interest. Please note that Condition Reports reflect only the opinions of Kruso Art and are issued only for lots whose minimum estimate exceeds €500.
How to take part in auctions
Participation in the auction can take place either in person in the auction room, or by telephone or written bids, or by registering on the auction house's proprietary web platform and on authorized third-party platforms. All new customers are required to send a copy of their identity document, the due diligence form, and to accept the terms and conditions of sale.
Absentee bids
In the days leading up to the auction, collectors who are unable to attend the sale in person may submit their written bids by email, WhatsApp, or by delivering them to the auction house office, using the written bid form available at the company's headquarters, in the catalog, or downloadable from the website. Kruso Art will bid on behalf of the customer and raise the bid against any other competitors up to the maximum price indicated on the form.
Auction registration
Participation in the auction will only be authorized to those who have a registered paddle, assigned after completing the appropriate form. Registration of the paddle will require the completion of a form in which, in addition to personal details, acceptance of the terms and conditions will also be requested.
Telephone bids
Upon request by telephone made by the customer in the days prior to the auction, the customer will be contacted by an employee well in advance of the time when the lots of interest will be auctioned. The employee will follow the customer's instructions regarding subsequent bids. The customer agrees that, if necessary, telephone calls may be recorded in full.
Online bids
Registration is also required for this method of participation, which will be accepted up to 24 hours before the start of the auction.
The registration procedure is the same as for participants in the auction room.
Once registered on krusoart.com and on authorized third-party platforms, customers can follow the progress of the sale in the same way as those participating in the auction room: all platforms will be updated in real time and customers will participate directly by placing their bids from their remote location. In the auction room, platform operators will report the bids received to the auctioneer and the room. Bids are considered final and cannot be canceled for any reason.
